Auditioning to join the Academy Arts is not at all daunting. We invite prospective new members to come down and join in for the day so they get a feel for what we do and so as we can see how they gel with us. (Ages 6-9 years please go to the KIDS page)

During class all students will:
DANCE- (Compulsory) Every lesson the Academy Arts students do a physical warm-up and work on production numbers. We will assess auditionees ability whilst in class.
SING -(Compulsory)- We will hear auditionees sing either in the singing class with the rest of the group or individually on a break to assess which singing group they should join. 
ACT-If you have a short monologue, poem or joke of own choice, (no longer than 1 min) we would love to hear it on the day. This is purely for those who feel acting is their strong point and want to allow us to see their ability on the trial day.

Please do not feel at all intimidated by the audition process, it is after all supposed to be fun.

As the Academy Arts is a musical theatre production company we need all auditionees to take part in all parts of the audition, however we only expect the students to be competent at two of the disciplines with the potential to improve in the third.

You will receive a letter informing you whether you have been accepted.
Due to the high standard required by the Academy, places will be limited.

If on this occasion you have not been successful, we hope you enjoyed your day with us and look forward to seeing you at one of our future auditions.

If you have been accepted you will receive a registration pack containing, Registration form, Term Invoice, Uniform order form, to be returned to us asap.
